去年雪莉自殺的消息讓人震驚且心痛。同是f(x)的雪莉好友Amber近日接受《CBS This Morning》的采訪，首次在雪莉離世後談及她以及韓國偶像華麗背後的辛酸。
Starting at such a young age and being thrown into the industry, you’re told what to do, what to say, what to think, what to look like.
Amber 表示作為韓國偶像，無論是說甚麼、想甚麼、做甚麼都要遵照公司指示。她自己就曾經因為不夠白和不夠瘦而被訓話過。許多人都覺得偶像都要有完美的外表，而這個要求亦讓許多偶像不得不考慮整容。雖然男偶像都要有許多規限要遵從，但男偶像要建立的是一群狂熱的粉絲群 (fandom)，女偶像則要得到大眾的喜愛，這令女偶像在外表上受到更多壓力。

Sulli was like a ball of joy… always so cute, so rebellious.
對Amber來說，雪莉是一個能帶給人歡樂的女孩，很可愛，也搞怪叛逆。她們會笑說雪莉是弟弟，而Amber是雪莉的哥哥。Amber坦言到現在還未能消化雪莉已經離開的事實，到現在也很想念她。
That’s what art is. It’s expression, you can’t expect the same thing from the same person constantly.
雪莉看起來不會對惡評耿耿於懷，但當她改變形象時令許多觀眾感到驚訝，亦令她站在浪尖風口。但Amber覺很藝術就是表達，不可能期望人一直都不變，而雪莉只是想要屬於她自己的生活。

I feel like the easiest thing that we can all do, everybody can do, is just try to be kind to one another.
每個人都是獨特的。即便不能完全認同別人的想法，也應可以做到善良對待身邊的人，不輕易否定別人的生活方式。希望所有人都能有做自己的勇氣，同時包包容有勇氣做自己的別人。
